Do I have to buy a car from you to sell you mine?
No. You can sell us your car without buying one from us.
If you are also shopping for your next vehicle, keep in mind that trading in may reduce the sales tax on your purchase, depending on your state. That adds to the value you get for your car.
How do you decide what my car is worth?
We use real market data from several sources. Independent third parties like Kelley Blue Book and CARFAX provide a general value for your vehicle based on a generalized condition.
Then we scan your car with ACV's VIPER system, which uses detailed imaging and artificial intelligence to document its actual condition and price it against market conditions as of today.
Do you buy cars that aren't Mercedes-Benz?
Yes. We buy all makes and models, regardless of year, mileage or condition.
What if I still owe money on my car, or it's leased?
We handle the payoff with your lender, and you get paid as soon as we receive the title.
Some lenders restrict lease buyouts by third-party dealers. As part of Kollective Automotive Group, we have sister dealerships representing many of those brands, plus dealer partners who can assist, so in many cases we can still buy your leased vehicle.
What do I need to bring?
Bring the vehicle, the title, and ideally all keys and any service records you have. Service records are helpful but not required. The title is required.
If you don't have the title, you will need other proof of ownership, such as your original sale documents or registration. Requirements vary by state, so call us and we will tell you exactly what you need.
How long is my offer good for, and can it change?
Offers are good for 72 hours unless otherwise noted. If we run a live auction on your vehicle, your offer may be good for 48 hours.
Your final offer is confirmed when we inspect the vehicle in person with VIPER. Until then, we don't know its actual condition against current market conditions. Final offers can go up as well as down.
